The stuff of horror movies ladies and gentlemen.

Characteristics distinguishing rats from other mammals are that they have continually growing incisors (front teeth) throughout their life. They have a Diastema which is a gap where the canine or pre molar teeth would be on other mammals. Norway rats have an immense bite pressure around 7000psi making light work of gnawing through lead, aluminium and wooden doorways. TP Pest Control Services are experts in preventative and reactive proofing and treatments.

Omnivores (eat anything ) rats are historically remembered through their association to the Bubonic Plague. It was the rat flea however that was responsible for the cross contamination to humans. Rats are responsible for Weils Disease, Typhus, Salmonellosis, Plague, E.Coli and Tuberculosis. Carrying ectoparasites such as fleas and ticks immediate treatment is essential to prevent exposure, contamination and damage in the home and workplace.

Lifecycle – Rats put rabbits to shame with the effectiveness of their breeding. A single pair will quickly develop into a very sizeable infestation – Reacting quickly is key.

Able to reproduce from ages of 12 weeks, female rats mate immediately after a 21 day pregnancy ( post–partum oestrus ). The birth coincides with the 21 day weaning period of the young known as kittens or pups, and with a litter size of 6-11 the maths shows why we need to contain and eradicate any infestation immediately.

TP Pest Control Services

Why choose us?

TP Pest Services are experts in rat removal and proofing of buildings.

Unlike many pest companies we do not use poison rodenticides within households as this can cause more serious issues with dead rats causing a nasty smell within cavities and under flooring, they then become an attractant for flies and other rats which feed on the carcass.

We also offer CCTV inspections and use industry leading poison bait boxes which utilise current technology making them as safe as possible.

Combined with ultra violet tracking dust and many years of experience we offer a guaranteed solution.
